Apply:
Jesus promised to build His church, drawing people to Himself. Attending church or saying a prayer does not mean a person truly belongs to the church. Instead, they must turn from their sin and trust in Jesus Christ, for the church is made up of Christians.

Matthew 16:18 – And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.
