Christ selects elders to lead the church as His under-shepherds

Whether they are paid pastors or lay elders, shepherds of the church must lead by example. Elders must be Christians as well as meet certain qualifications. Those who trust in Christ for the forgiveness of their sins need to be shepherded by elders in the church.
